Appointment and Payment Information
Your first visit will take an hour and a half to two hours, and will include an in-depth assessment interview and a physical exam. The goal in this session is to understand the nature and causes of your symptoms and condition, make an initial diagnosis, and chart a course of treatment. I will also determine if lab tests are needed to obtain more information. And if time permits, you will receive a treatment using one or a combination of protocols that may including acupuncture, acupressure, massage, magnet therapy, cranial touch, and infrared heat.
Follow-up visits can vary from 15 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your treatment and consultation needs, and your budget.
Payment Policies
Marin Optimal Health has a cash practice. This means you pay in full at the time of service. We take Cash, Check, Credit Cards.
Electronic Insurance Billing
If your insurance covers acupuncture you will still need to pay for your treatment at the time of service. Our office management software program keeps all patient and payment records, and will automatically send an electronic bill for your treatment to your insurance company, which will reimburse you for your visit.
We also take Health Savings Accounts and Flex payments. If your Flex payment account needs a written report, please tell the office manager at the front desk and she will have Dr. Sara write it for you.
